Growing up in Queens, I watched my mother — a strong, determined Dominican woman — move through the world with quiet confidence and undeniable presence. She came to this country with a vision for something better, and she carried herself in a way that taught me early on that how you show up matters.

Not because of vanity. Because of power.

As I moved through corporate spaces myself, I experienced that reality firsthand. The pressure to look polished. The unspoken expectation to prove yourself before saying a word. The feeling of walking into rooms where you have to carry confidence externally long before you feel fully settled internally.

And somewhere in the middle of balancing careers, responsibilities, ambition, relationships, and everyday life, getting dressed became one more thing women were expected to figure out perfectly.

That’s why I created Lujo Luxe.
